Bachatango: what is it?
Bachatango, or Modern Bachata, is a dance born in ‘80s, as a fusion between Bachata and Argentine Tango.
Bachata is a dance born at the beginning of the 1900s in the poorest areas of Santo Domingo. Its name, actually, is not attributable to a dance in particular, in fact, the literal name is “partying”. Tango, instead, was born in Argentina at the end of the 19th century.
Bachatango is the result of their union: a perfectly balanced mix of these two styles. This dance is particularly appreciated for the ability to combine sensuality and passion of Bachata and the grit of Tango.
Bachatango: the perfect outfit
If you are passionate about this dance and maybe you are already enrolled in a course to learn it better, surely you will be also interested in knowing which outfit to choose to make your lesson or evening perfect. The watchwords for choosing your clothes are sensuality and elegance.
The dance hall in which lessons take place could be a sort of formal environment and the participants could belong to the most varied age groups. Each of these factors added to light and music in the room need to be borne in mind when choosing the more suitable outfit.
Let’s see some more suggestions.
Bachatango: what suits for her
When it comes to women’s outfit choice, the more classical the more appropriate: a long dress with a deep split or a skirt, also with a wide split, decorated with flounces and fringes to combine with a very tight and, possibly, low-cut bodice.
As for shoes, it’s preferable to pick lace-up or strap-equipped ones, strictly with heels.
The key element is then the touch of red. Lit and sensual, the symbol of passion that will remind you of Tango.
Bachatango: what suites for him
And the “bachatanguero”? For men’s clothing you can be inspired by the more traditional version of tanguero. A white shirt or a bolero matched to straight black trousers and close-fitting low heel shoes.
